Tall enough to extend ROM past where the bar usually stops. Short enough to keep your starting position safe and repeatable. Two years of prototyping landed here. Anything taller compromised setup. Anything shorter didn't change the lift.

How tall is the block?

5 inches. The optimal deficit height for RDLs without compromising your form. Tall enough to extend ROM, short enough to stay safe.

Can I use it for sumo deadlifts?

yes and no, but it really shines for RDL, stiff-leg, single-leg, and split-stance work. For conventional sumo, the wider base of the lift means most lifters get more value out of just pulling from the floor.

Will it scratch my floor?

No. The base is non-marking eva. Tested on hardwood, rubber tile, turf, and concrete with no marks left behind.

Does it work with standard barbell plates?

The block is footwear, you stand on it, the bar travels past it. So plate size doesn't matter. Works with any bar, any plate, any setup.
